I have a small dream: a little public library in my community, with a few shelves, a couple of worn chairs, and a door that’s always open to anyone curious enough to walk in.
Today, answers arrive in seconds. Type a question, get a reply. It’s convenient. But somewhere along the way, we’ve started to forget what it feels like to wonder, to sit with a question, to get lost in a chapter, to be surprised by a sentence we didn’t know we needed.
That’s what books give us. A book doesn’t just hand over information. It asks us to slow down, imagine, and think for ourselves. It builds patience, empathy, and vocabulary one page at a time. It lets a child step into a world they’ve never seen and come back a little braver, a little kinder, a little more curious.
AI can summarize a story, but it can’t replace the feeling of finishing your first book and realizing, I did that.
That’s why I want to build this library. Not to compete with technology, but to remind the younger generation that reading is a gift, one that grows stronger the more we use it. I want kids to borrow a book, share it with a friend, and maybe someday donate one back.
Every big reader starts with one book, and every community can start with one shelf.
If you share this dream, come along. Bring a book, tell a friend, or simply keep reading. 📚
