Writing used to feel like shouting into the void — months of work, released with almost no idea how it landed. Social media changed that.
Now, a post about my writing process or a simple “what are you reading this week?” gets instant replies. Readers share theories, tag me in bookshelf photos, tell me a chapter made them cry. It’s real, immediate, and honestly makes my day, every day.
Sharing my books has gotten so much easier too. A cover reveal, a Stories Q&A, a quick live reading — no publicist needed, just my phone. And readers want to help spread the word: reposting, tagging friends, making fan art.
At its heart, writing is about connection, and social media has closed the gap between writing alone and seeing that connection happen in real time. I get to watch someone finish my book the same night they started it, answer questions about my characters like they’re mutual friends, and feel like I’m building a community, not just publishing books.
To every reader who’s ever liked, commented, or shared — thank you. You’ve made this so much more meaningful than I imagined.
